🚶‍♂️🏡 Trail Safety Reminder: Being Respectful Neighbors

Posted Date: 01/22/26 (02:00 PM)

Dear Brooks Families,
As we continue through the school year, we want to share a brief reminder about the importance of being respectful neighbors as students walk to and from school. We are fortunate to have a trail system connecting our campuses, and we want to ensure it remains a safe environment for everyone.
Recently, we have received reports of property damage involving rocks being thrown at windows of homes that back up to the trails. We ask that you please take a moment this evening to talk with your student about the following:

  • Respecting Property: Staying on the path and avoiding contact with residential fences or homes.
  • The Impact of Actions: Helping them understand that even "playing around" can cause real damage and financial costs for our neighbors.
  • Safety and Consequences: Ensuring that nothing is ever thrown while on the trail. Many residents in the area use security cameras, and property damage can lead to the involvement of local authorities.
Our neighbors are an essential part of our school community. We want to ensure our students are representing our school with character and responsibility. Thank you for your partnership in helping us maintain a positive relationship with those living near our schools.
Best regards,
~ Brooks Staff
