Dear Parents/Guardians,
As the holiday season approaches, we are eager to bring a little extra magic to the lives of our students
at Mattie & Brooks. In the spirit of joy, kindness, and community, we are organizing a Winter Wishes
Giving Tree for students whose family may be facing challenges during the holiday season. Small acts
of kindness can make a big difference, and we want to ensure that every child in our school feels the
magic of the season. We want to offer you the opportunity to nominate your student to receive a
special gift from the school community.
Nomination:
Please fill out the attached form here --->>> Attached Form Winter Wishes Giving Tree or email Mrs. Vehmeyer at svehmeyer@wusd.org. The form allows you to share your child’s wishlist or preferences, helping us match them with a thoughtful gift.
Nomination deadline is November 21, 2025. Submissions after this date will go on a waitlist.
Student Wishlists:
Student wishlists tags will be available at the Mattie & Brooks office starting in November.
Gifts & Sponsorship:
Please leave gifts unwrapped.
Gifts with the student tag should be dropped off by December 12, 2025 at the Brooks Office.
Families or sponsors providing a monetary donation must also submit by December 12, 2025.
Gift Pick-Up:
Gifts and donations will be available for pick-up December 15–19, 2025 at the Brooks Office.
Confidentiality:
We respect the importance of maintaining surprise and confidentiality. The identity of the Winter
Wishes Giving Tree recipient and donors will remain private.
Important Note:
While we do our best to fill all wishes, we cannot guarantee fulfillment.
